Here is a trailer for the Call + Response Film…
I love that quote, “Justice is what love looks like in public!” I need to put that idea up to 1 John and let God go to work on my heart.
Jen and I have some dear friends who do work in Cambodia named Don and Bridget. They’ve helped begin a ministry called AIM for Asia that is actively doing something about this issue on the front lines. Check out what they do and be a part of the solution…
I just watched this Rockumentary last night. It was AMAZING. I blogged about it too… check it out.
Thanks for making us more aware of this, Justin. Today’s Christian Woman magazine has featured this issue for awhile now to make American women more educated on this. It’s so sad.
So sad. Everyday I work with women who, for the most part, have personally experienced this; perhaps more subtlely, yet every bit as painful since it is often a family member who has robbed them of their innocence. The healing process is slow and very painful. Yet, it IS possible! Unfortunately (and I may get slammed for this) the churches may be the least accepting of a wounded life like theirs. So many give financially (but many don’t), but turn their tangible backs because it’s way too messy and uncomfortable. When will more believers actually stand up and rescue in the name of Jesus and for His church?
Christine — Sounds like amazing work.
Justin — I enjoyed reading about your book and music interests. I just put a list of resources on my blog about trafficking and poverty that I think you will find interesting. FYI…
BTW… I’m really not trying to promote my blog, but I like sharing resources!
