Yes, many Americans think "throwball"(brown, funny shaped) when the word "football"(round) is spoken, but we know better don't we. Greatest sport in the world. Euro 2008 was awesome.

Ok, so maybe this supposedly “official” film "footage” (pun intended) of Materazzi can all be explained by some post production trickery of sorts. Huh? Surely you don't believe that all those fouls were purposeful.

There might not be a bigger football fan than me. And when I say that, I mean a bigger fan for someone who has never played the game in his entire life. I watch it ALL the time!! I watched every Champions League match. I watch La Liga, the EPL, and the Bundesliga. I have watched over 20 of the matches in Euro 2008. I was more excited about Euro 2008 than I was the Super Bowl! I even had the privilege of seeing Barcelona play when we were there in September. I have 1 Barcelona jersey and 3 World Cup jerseys from 2006. So I am a huge fan of the game! Nothing beats European football! All of my trips to Europe is what turned me on to the game. I don't care for American football (MLS) although I do like the US national team. However, you touched on a huge passion of mine with this post.

For many Americans out there, I hope they watched Euro 2008 and saw how incredibly exciting and passionate football can really be!
