Merry Christmas

Hey All..wanted to jump online real quick to wish you all a merry Christmas. As the day is nearly over in Europe we’re beginning to wind down. We had a great day lounging around the apartment and eating an amazing meal that Jen and Christine made…turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes…you get the idea.

This year we didn’t do much as far as gifts for each other go…it was nice and strange. For so long Christmas day has culminated at the gift exchange, but we didn’t have that this year, so it was both nice and strange…the highlight of the day was when Jen left me to cuddle with Maisie for an hour this morning. Having a baby around the house has caused my perspective of God becoming a baby to completely change…or at least grow. As I laid there with Maisie this morning I was humbled again that God became a little person who was completely dependent on His creation. The humility and trust involved in this reality is too much for me to completely get. Well, maybe we did have presents…they just weren’t wrapped…except for with diapers.

Anyway…hope you all have a great time reflecting on Jesus in your corner of the world…talk to you soon. jp
