I love to talk about stuff like ’strategy’/ministry/culture. In church culture around the world there are a lot of us who like to talk about this stuff. Part of life in a city where most people could care less about God is the fact that I have fewer and fewer conversations about the Church and what we’re doing. I am pretty removed from that stuff. I am removed from the conversations about what version of the Bible is best/the newest Christian stuff/the newest books/etc…and I loving it. I remember the past these things used to somewhat define me and I would love to share my opinions. After years of talking about this stuff I’ve found one amazing truth..we’re not coming up with new answers…if anything we’re being drawn back to old answers that our ’strategies and conversations’ took us away from following. 1 Corinthians 4:20 says this, “The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” I believe that we should be having more and more conversations, however they need to be less about what we are thinking/trying/hoping to do and more about sharing stories of what God is doing…His power. And even better our lives need to be conversations that need not words, but reflect the power of God…allez* as the French say…
*let’s go

Well said my brother…interesting how we are all learning this stuff now. Wonder what God has planned…hmmmm…
