I was driving with Jen through Rocklin today and I was looking around and said, “It’s going to be an adjustment going back to Paris…this place couldn’t be much more different than home.” Jen and I are adaptable people and we naturally fit into our environments quickly…at first at least. So it doesn’t feel like a shock now to be here…ask me in three weeks.
We’ve been hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I have barely had a chance to sit still (thus the reason that I haven’t written in a while) and we have been going non-stop. There are so many people we want and need to see…I am actually sick…probably because I have had zero rest in two weeks now (staff conference last week)…but I am really energized though…extravert.
I spoke at the Gathering on Sunday night. I was super nervous as I haven’t spoken to a large group in a long time…but God’s good and it went alright. I talked about a lot of different stuff based on Revelation 3:1-5. I am passionate about the Church and it was honor to talk. We were introduced at Adventure’s main service. It was cool and we are so thankful for the people here who are praying for us.
We have a small group tonight. People who have signed up to come find out more about CAI and what we do. We are excited to share our story with more people and encourage them in their own mission experience.
God’s teaching us on this trip through our past. I taught about how God often uses our memories to call us into the future…I am applying that to us now. This year has been a breaking down process and we are going into a season of re-building (I hope) and being has shown me some things I need to rebuild on a more true foundation.
Anyway, I’ll try to type some more and also write about Vintage some more while I’m here. Later

I’m sorry to hear you are sick, but glad to hear that you are able to share more what God is doing through you guys with CAI, that’s a work that needs to be shared and it will spur others on. I wish I could see you guys before you head back to Paris, I would’ve loved to hear you speak at the G. Thanks for continuing to update us on how God is using you and what you are learning.
